IEEE Engineering Management Society
Twin Cities Chapter

Chapter Description/Area of Interest

The IEEE Engineering Management Society is concerned with the principles and application of management to science, engineering, and technology. The Engineering Management Society represents the interests of those who manage engineering (including non-engineers), engineers who hold managerial and strategic leadership responsibilities (even if outside of the practice of engineering), and upward-bound engineers - those who anticipate and seek to prepare for eventual leadership and strategic responsibilities.

The IEEE divides its operations into 2  segments: geographical and technical.  Geographically, the IEEE divides its operation into Regions and the Regions are divided into Sections.  Technically, the IEEE divides it operations into Societies.  Societies are focused on a particular area of technical interest.  Chapters are the intersection of the 2 IEEE divisions.  The specialize technically in one of the Societies area of interest and focus their operations on a particular geographic area (Section).  This Chapter focuses on Engineering Management in the Twin Cities Section.  The Twin Cities Section is located in Region 4.

The primary purpose of any chapter of the IEEE Engineering Management Society (or for that manner any other society of the IEEE) is to present meetings or programs that will enhance the knowledge and background of the societies membership and that will broaden the use of technical papers at the Chapter level.

For more information about this chapter see the chapter:
