About the Topic:
The
success of your company is directly related to the quality of people you
bring into the organization. However, hiring the best people takes more
than simply hanging a "Help Wanted" sign in your window. In our
presentation on "21st Century Interviewing" you'll learn how to create a
profile of an ideal candidate for the position for which you are hiring,
use that profile to write effective ads and interview questions, and
interviewing tips that will help you identify which applicant is the
best fit for your position and company.
About the Speaker:
DAVID FLOTTEN, JD, SPHR, has been advising employers on employment
practices and human resources issues for over seven years and prior to that
spent two years working in the Minnesota court system. David works with
employers on a wide range of HR compliance and strategic issues, including
drafting policies and procedures, employee attitude surveys, coaching and
discipline, hiring, and leaves of absence. He regularly presents seminars on
leadership skills, coaching, hiring, and wage and hour rules at CFG as well
as presenting at the Carlson School of Management and the College of
Continuing Education at the University of Minnesota. David has a law degree,
magna cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School and a Bachelor
of Arts degree from Gustavus Adolphus College and is a member of the Society
of Human Resources Managers (SHRM).

Take I-494 south from I-94 or I-694. Exit on MN-62

From North/ Northeast:
Take MN-169 south to MN-62 west. Follow MN-62 west.
