About the subject:
TRIZ is a systematic approach to problem solving and innovation.  No more
playing with toys or random brainstorming.  With TRIZ we describe the
problem; define it in TRIZ terms; apply established inventive patterns to
develop numerous solutions.  In this session, we will cover : 1) What is
TRIZ? 2) TRIZ basic concepts 3) A brief panoramic view of applications of
TRIZ.

About the speakers:

Mark Reeves is a Trailblazer and Principal of Inventive Solutions.   Mark's
industrial experience has focused on problem solving and product/process
innovation.  At 3M, he was a top inventor and intrapreneur applying existing
3M technologies.

Mark broad educational and business experience is well suited for
innovation.  He has a BS in Aerospace Engineering and a Masters in
Mechanical Engineering.  As an entrepreneur, he owns and operates an
adhesive test equipment business.

Mark earned his TRIZ Specialist certification in 1998.  Using TRIZ he has
solved numerous difficult problems in a wide range of fields including
medical and consumer products, chemical and food processes, military and
electro-mechanical industrial equipment, organization and business
operations.

Directions:
Hwy 62 to Shady Oak Road, go north 1 mile on Shady Oak Road, turn right on
Smetana Road and go about 0.4 miles to the second right, turn right on Feltl
Road and go to the first driveway on the right then an immediate left into
the parking lot. ION Corporation is in the first building on the right
(west).

Note that this is ION's new location - look for the building number, their
new sign may not be installed.

Cost:
Free for EMS members and non-members attending for the first time; $10
otherwise. Refreshments will be provided.
