About the Topic:
At some point, engineers need to make a career choice to be individual
contributors or to take on some type of management responsibility. A
panel
of IEEE Engineering Management Society members will each present on how
they
came to be managers and what skills they had to acquire along the way.
These
members each have had a unique career path. Other members will be
present to
add their experience to the discussion. This will be a great opportunity
to
explore possible branches in engineering as a career so come with lots
of
questions.
